Combining talent, imagination and passion for the creation of animated films of the team gathered in the newly opened Iervolino Studios, with branches in Belgrade and Novi Sad, we are developing a cinematographic branch that, until recently, existed only in hints. The series “Puffins” which is a spin-off of the popular film “Mission Arctic” produced by Andrea Iervolino, director of Iervolino Entertainment based in Rome. It is a high-quality short animated content for streaming platforms – this content is created by talented artists from Serbia from the very initial idea to its realization. The new series consists of 250 episodes lasting 5 minutes, which audiences around the world will be able to watch via Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video channels. Young people and those who are young at heart will enjoy the adventures of Arctic birds with colourful feathers – Johnny Puff, Tic, Tac, Didi and Pie – the loveable puffins of the walrus Otto. A novelty for the whole world and what makes our series different from other animated films is the specific format specially adapted to the mobile phone screen that we are developing with our project partners – the team of Iervolino Studios. The realization of all phases of the creative process in our country provides a great opportunity for creative people to confirm their talent in front of a world audience, but it also offers an opportunity for the promotion of Serbian culture.
“We will try to incorporate our themes, which may be based on Serbian mythology and history, into the narrative flow of spin-offs that our people will create for international platforms. Serbia did not have this branch of the film industry in Serbia, and with the opening of Iervolino Studios, we will do everything – from pre-production to post-production. Our “Puffins” series is a clear indication to the entire Hollywood industry that Serbia is a country where you can find talent.”
